BondiHouse is in Sauce de Portezuelo, on the coast of Maldonado, about 90 km (56 miles) from Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo. From the airport you head east on the Ruta Interbalnearia highway and, for the last stretch, Ruta 10, passing Piriápolis. If you fly into Punta del Este Airport (Laguna del Sauce), you’re only about 13 km away. Punta del Este itself is about 20 km away. A car is the easiest way to get here, but there are also buses that stop at the entrance to the beach town. For safety reasons, we share the exact location through Airbnb once your booking is confirmed.

BondiHouse is in Sauce de Portezuelo, Maldonado, Uruguay. It’s a 25-minute drive from Punta del Este, 15 minutes from Punta Ballena and Solanas, and about 20 minutes from Piriápolis. The nearest beach is a 10-minute walk away.

The closest is Punta del Este International Airport (Laguna del Sauce), about 13 km from BondiHouse. Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo, where most international flights land, is about 90 km away.

It’s the most convenient option, since Punta del Este, Punta Ballena and Piriápolis are too far to walk. Parking is free and located outside the property. If you’re coming without a car, buses stop at the entrance to the beach town, and whenever we can — if you let us know in advance — we’ll pick you up at the stop and drive you to the Bondi, and back again when you leave.

Yes. BondiHouse is in Sauce de Portezuelo, a 25-minute drive from Punta del Este and 15 minutes from Punta Ballena and Solanas. Getting around by car is easiest, since the distances are too long to walk.

Yes. Sauce de Portezuelo beach is a 10-minute walk away. It’s a calm, beautiful beach. The beach access closest to the Bondi has no lifeguards, but in summer there’s one access in Sauce that does. Ocean Park, the next beach town over, has its first beach about a 20-minute walk away.

Bookings are made exclusively through Airbnb. You can check availability, see the calendar and pick your dates at airbnb.com/h/bondihouseuy. We don’t accept direct bookings.

You pay through Airbnb when you book. Airbnb handles the payment and lets you pay by card in your own currency.

Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 12:00 pm (noon). If you need a different time, let us know in advance — as long as it doesn’t overlap with another stay, we’re flexible.

We’ll welcome you ourselves or, if you prefer, check-in can be self check-in. We’re always available for anything you need before and during your stay, and we reply quickly.

BondiHouse is for up to 2 adults. We designed it as a retreat to slow down, rest and spend quality time together.

We don’t accept pets, because wild animals (like Jacinta, our resident guan 🥰) come into the garden every day, and we take great care of the special balance that has grown with the local wildlife 💚

Your stay includes: a king-size bed with bed linens, towels, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries; a handcrafted wood-fired hot tub (available year-round, 24/7), a movie projector, a Hi-Fi sound system with Bluetooth, a Smart TV with Netflix and Disney+, an indoor wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor fire pit, a private grill (parrilla), a beach kit (towels, umbrella, beach chairs), a fully equipped kitchen with much more than the basics, split air conditioning, WiFi and free parking.

Yes. BondiHouse has a private, handcrafted wood-fired hot tub that’s available year-round, 24 hours a day. It’s one of the most special spots at the house, perfect for nights under the stars.

Yes. Inside there’s a wood-burning fireplace and split air conditioning, so BondiHouse can be enjoyed all year round. In winter, lighting the fire and watching a movie on the projector makes a great plan.

Yes, there’s WiFi in the house. That said, we invite you to unplug a little.

Yes — we speak Spanish, English and a little Portuguese.

BondiHouse is an adults-only stay, designed especially for romantic getaways and couples. The wood-fired hot tub, the fire pit, the projector and the privacy of the surroundings make it perfect for unplugging and reconnecting.

BondiHouse is surrounded by greenery and nature. It’s common to see dusky-legged guans, cavies, hares, wood rails or gray brocket deer. There are also the usual insects you’d expect in a natural setting. For your comfort, the house has insect repellent, mosquito coils and an electric mosquito repeller.
